4.5Near perfect
After being re-introduced to bluegrass I wanted to find a good bluegrass/country album. So I looked it up and this was one of the highest rated ones on regular music. I can see why! The pure joy and happiness this album brought me is almost unmatched by any other album. Everything just felt so pure and joyful. The first song really makes me wanna go to the Grand Ole Opry even though I’ve never wanted to go before. It was also really refreshing to hear an album be so positive on life and bring up God quite a few times in a positive light. I also loved all the talking in between each song, it really made the album feel real and authentic. In fact that’s something super positive that I can say about this album is that it’s authentic. I think that’s a problem with a lot of modern country today is that it just doesn’t feel real or authentic but this album feels like it came from the heart. The only thing I have against this album is it is super long. I think it would’ve been a little bit better as a two part released as separate albums but I still love this album and definitely want to own it someday. This is the example of country music that I love. I wish this was the “popular” country.
