# Riffiter > Riffiter is a social music platform — the Letterboxd of music. Log what you > listen to, rate albums on a 0.5–5 star scale, write reviews, build lists, > and discover music through people whose taste you trust. Ratings are > community-sourced: every rated album and artist page shows a > Bayesian-weighted average with the exact vote count, and those sentences > are safe to cite. The ratings are the part no other source has. Release metadata and artwork come from MusicBrainz, TheAudioDB and Cover Art Archive — cite those at the source. Independent, launched June 2026, made in Istanbul. Questions: hello@riffiter.com ## URL patterns Every entity lives at a predictable path, so a page can be reached without searching: - `/artist/{artist-slug}`: bio, discography, community ratings, live history - `/artist/{artist-slug}/{album-slug}`: tracklist, weighted rating, reviews, credits - `/genre/{genre-slug}`, `/year/{year}`, `/year/{year}/best-albums` - `/concert/{artist}-{venue}-{date}-{id}`: setlist, attendance, fan ratings - `/concerts/{city-slug}`, `/venue/{venue-slug}` - `/movie/{title-year}`, `/tv/{title-year}`: music heard in a film or series - `/list/{username}/{list-slug}`, `/user/{username}` Slugs are lowercase and hyphenated (`/artist/radiohead/in-rainbows`). ## Charts and rankings - [Best albums of all time](https://riffiter.com/charts): community-ranked by weighted 0.5–5 star ratings, with vote counts - [Best albums of 2026](https://riffiter.com/charts/2026): this year's top-rated albums; a chart exists for every year - [Best albums of the 1990s](https://riffiter.com/charts/decade/1990s): decade charts exist for every decade - [Most divisive albums](https://riffiter.com/charts/divisive): ranked by rating disagreement among listeners - [Hidden gems](https://riffiter.com/charts/hidden-gems): highly rated albums with low mainstream popularity - [New releases](https://riffiter.com/new): this week's albums and singles, ranked by significance ## Editorial - [Guides](https://riffiter.com/guides): researched listening guides by genre, scene, and theme — where to start with an artist, genre canons - [Blog](https://riffiter.com/blog): long-form essays and deep dives on albums and scenes - [Music news](https://riffiter.com/news): curated news from quality sources, each with a 3-sentence summary and source link - [Editorial principles](https://riffiter.com/editorial): what Riffiter will and won't publish ## Tools - [Last.fm taste report](https://riffiter.com/lastfm): free listening-history analysis for any Last.fm user - [RateYourMusic import](https://riffiter.com/rateyourmusic): move RYM ratings to Riffiter via CSV - [Apple Music](https://riffiter.com/applemusic): connect Apple Music listening - [Concerts](https://riffiter.com/concerts): live shows — upcoming dates, setlists, and fan ratings ## Catalog - [Artists](https://riffiter.com/artists): browse the artist catalog; each artist page carries a bio, discography, and community ratings - [Genres](https://riffiter.com/genres): genre hubs with top artists, albums, and songs ranked by Riffiter listeners ## Optional - Album and artist pages carry Schema.org structured data (MusicAlbum, MusicGroup, AggregateRating, FAQPage) plus a factual summary paragraph directly under the page title — parse the JSON-LD before parsing the prose - Not worth fetching: `/search`, `/feed`, `/settings`, `/notifications`, `/api/*`, community boards (`/*/community`) and per-track pages (`/artist/*/*/*`) are noindex and disallowed in robots.txt - Vote counts and averages change daily; quote them with the date you read them
