The Passionate Ones cover

Jackson Futrell’s review of the albumThe Passionate Ones

Nourished by Time · 2025

The opening track really set the tone for this whole album: dissonant, dark, but passionate. I think this album had a lot of unique takes on R&B while also bringing in the typical sultry kind of dark feeling. I think the only track I didn’t really vibe with was the one with the rap verse. I think it just kind of felt oddly placed, and like the album would’ve been better without it, but I think there was quite a few songs that really intrigued me and made me want to just sit there and really listen to it. I also thought his voice really added this like dissonant layer to every track which really was like a nice curve ball to go along with the warm almost brooding Music layers. Favorite song?
