October 2026 releases: Queens of the Stone Age, Fontaines D.C., Pet Shop Boys and two 20th anniversaries
October 2026's key releases fall on its five Fridays: Mac Miller's The Divine Feminine 10th anniversary edition (Oct 2), Pet Shop Boys' Alan Turing album A Man From The Future (Oct 9), Fontaines D.C.'s Dopamine Chamber (Oct 16), 20th-anniversary editions of The Black Parade and Back to Black (Oct 23) and Queens of the Stone Age's Perfecth (Oct 30).

October 2026 has five Fridays, and each one brings a record worth marking. Three are new albums, from Pet Shop Boys, Fontaines D.C. and Queens of the Stone Age. The biggest day is October 23, when The Black Parade comes back 20 years to the day after its release and Back to Black comes back four days before its own 20th birthday.

October 2: Mac Miller, The Divine Feminine
The estate's 10th-anniversary edition keeps the 10 original songs and adds three that were never released. The first of them, "Butterflies", came out on August 21, produced by Taylor Graves with Thundercat on bass. The original record peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
October 9: Pet Shop Boys, A Man From The Future
Eight chapters of Alan Turing's life, written with his biographer Andrew Hodges. The piece was first performed at the BBC Proms in 2014 and has now been reworked into an album, with narration by Juliet Stevenson, strings arranged by Sven Helbig and the Manchester Camerata Octet. It premieres on BBC 6 Music on October 4.
October 16: Fontaines D.C., Dopamine Chamber
The fifth album, again produced by James Ford, and the first Fontaines record with a guest on it: Rosalía sings on "Where Is Gone?". Eleven tracks, just under 44 minutes, led by the single "Marianne".
October 23: The Black Parade and Back to Black
My Chemical Romance released The Black Parade on October 23, 2006. The 20th-anniversary edition lands on the same date with new cover art by James Jean and six bonus tracks: three recorded live at Maxwell's in Hoboken on October 24, 2007, and three B-sides, including the unreleased "Someone Out There Loves You".
Back to Black came out in the UK on October 27, 2006. Its 20th-anniversary edition arrives four days early as a three-LP, three-CD and digital set with B-sides, demos and a live recording from the Paradiso in Amsterdam, plus alternative artwork.
October 30: Queens of the Stone Age, Perfecth
The ninth album and the first since In Times New Roman... in 2023. Nine songs, produced by Josh Homme and Michael Shuman, out on Matador. Homme describes the lead single "Insignificant Other" as "a song about distance", and on the title: "Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be 'perfecth.'"

Anderson .Paak and Cordae release a joint album, Heavy Is the Crown, on October 23. The Avalanches put out No Bad Memories, a 31-song record built around ads and jingles, on October 16. Manic Street Preachers release The Holy Bible Live the same week as the MCR and Amy reissues.
