The debut that announced the voice before the persona: Yours Truly is a 90s R&B séance — Babyface co-signs, "The Way" flipping Big Pun into first-crush euphoria — sung by a twenty-year-old already in command of Mariah's old altitude. The material is safe; the instrument is not. Everything after starts here.
