James Blake used to win me over on the first listen, every album. This one didn't. Not one song grabbed me, start to finish. If it were anyone else I'd probably be harsher, but with his track record I didn't have the heart. Some of the production is really well made, and a few lyrics genuinely hurt, though I doubt I'd give another artist that pass. The mystical electronic sound I came for isn't here. Most of it just sounds like generic electronic music.
