God Does Like UglyJID4.0 out of 5 stars

It’s very clean, fuckin good, and equally safe. I think JID needs to take some risks to reach the next level.

KehlaniKehlani4.0 out of 5 stars

I think this album is one that will easily earn Kehlani a spot on my regular listening playlists. I wasn’t particularly familiar with her work before, but this is a fantastic contemporary R&B record. While the features were generally underwhelming, even the artists I don’t particularly care for, Big Sean and Cardi B, did exactly what was required of them. Some of the older, iconic, and well-known artists, however, seemed to be trying to outshine Kehlani rather than just supporting her. Lil Wayne, on the other hand, didn’t feel out of place at all; with his unique vocal style and God-given tale

Heavy Is The CrownAnderson .Paak3.0 out of 5 stars

I came in for the 90s-style beats and the back and forth between the two, and I got some of that. The intro skit and A Good Day are exactly the fun I wanted. After that it drops off. I kept waiting for something to grab me and most songs just passed by, a bunch of them felt like filler. Good moments are there but the boring ones outnumber them. Not bad, just kind of a letdown.

I won’t even bother giving praise, they prove every single time why they’re the best at what they do.

PopstarTinashe3.0 out of 5 stars

I never really followed Tinashe. I only put this on because of the hype, everyone was calling it one of the best albums of the year and I got curious. Two listens in, I still don't get what the fuss is about. The production is clearly well worked on, I'll give it that. Good beats, a couple of really smart transitions, and she can sing. But it never comes together as an album for me. 16 tracks and I couldn't tell you where it's going, every song feels like it came from a different session. It's not boring, nothing just grabbed me. When it ended, I honestly couldn't remember much of it. Maybe
