the last minute is the whole reason to come back. the twang drops out and she sings caro mio ben dead straight, right after everything the verses just confessed to, and that one's properly unsettling. the murder ballad before it is fine, as murder ballads go. i struggle with the verses, she crams so many syllables into every threat that the menace comes out hurried. what an exit.
