The teen-idol stress test: Believe rebuilds Bieber as an EDM-R&B adult, and "Boyfriend"'s whispered minimalism plus "As Long As You Love Me"'s dubstep drop mostly pass it. Nicki, Drake and Ludacris cameo as credibility escorts. Transitional pop executed with more skill than the era's memes allowed anyone to admit.
