Verses could be off any of the last four singles she put out. Same cadence, same pocket, nothing I'd hum back. Then it steps up for the last chorus and I forgive all of it, every time, which is embarrassing but there it is. What I still don't get is cutting it from the album and running Spot a Fake instead.
Jennie's bridge is the whole song for me. Before it you've got Mike Dean fog and a lyric nobody on earth could sell straight, and then she arrives and it turns into wanting something you're embarrassed to want. Came off a show nobody will defend and I genuinely do not care. Still perfect.
Ninety-two seconds and nowhere for it to turn. It puts a mood down, holds one pad, and then Double How is already playing. I like what these two do and I've got most of the earlier scores, but there are ninety-five of these and this is one of the ones that only works with the picture in front of it. Pretty. Slight.
