The job was making a thin single work at two in the morning. A1 does it by pushing the Rodgers guitar back and building an intro long enough for a DJ to use, which is one idea, extended competently. B1 is louder and adds nothing. Underneath both of them the song is still the song.

pogo, idealistic, i want i want, zdarlight. that's the record and those four are untouchable. the jupiter/cairo interlude business is where i start hunting for the skip button and i've yet to meet anyone who defends it. it also dates to 2007 harder than the justice album somehow does, all that crunched-guitar electro, but zdarlight still sounds enormous. half a great album.
