Copycatssong · Stardust · Danny Brown3.5

underscores built the drums out of the same chiptune blips as everything else on it, nobody's playing anything, and the bass is squelchy and bounces instead of sitting down, which is the only reason it moves at all, danny's right at home on top like he grew up on this stuff, the hook sticks and some nights i think it's in the way and some nights i don't, the words barely register next to the bounce anyway, 11pm is about right for it, tried it again around 1 and it was too bright, still feels like the song the rest of stardust keeps circling

Keep It Quietsong · Why Not More? · Coco Jones4.0

programmed, all of it, stargate and the rest of the credits doing drums from a laptop and you can tell nobody sat at a kit, but that bass keeps pushing under it the whole way and does most of what a live pocket would have done, and coco stays inside the beat instead of riffing across it, which i did not expect from an opener this polished, two and a half minutes and it cuts out right when it has you, works at 1am, by 3 i'd want an actual drummer
