Somebody put 86 on a playlist for me around when The Black came out and I worked backwards to the debut, so I walked into this with the old mix stuck in my head. It barely moves off it. Same arrangements nearly note for note, only bigger and cleaner, and Eddie sounds like a guy with ten more years of touring behind him, which does the cleans on The Seventh Seal a lot of favours. The violin bits lost some of the scrape they had, and that scrape was half of why I liked the original.
