Barcelona wear Tyler, the Creator's GOLF logo instead of Spotify's for El Clásico

FC Barcelona played Real Madrid at Camp Nou on October 25, 2026 with GOLF, the logo of Tyler, the Creator's brand GOLF WANG, where Spotify's name usually sits. Tyler is the ninth artist in the Spotify shirt series since 2022 and the first to lead the campaign's graphic and video work.

FC Barcelona played Real Madrid at Camp Nou on October 25 with GOLF across the front of the shirt, the logo of Tyler, the Creator's clothing brand GOLF WANG. It sat where Spotify's name usually goes. Spotify has been Barcelona's main sponsor since 2022 and gives that spot to one music artist for a Clásico, and Tyler is the ninth. Per Barcelona's club site, he is also the first of them to lead the graphic and video campaign around the shirt.

Nine artists since 2022

Drake started the series in October 2022. Per ESPN's history of the shirts, these are the Clásicos that carried an artist instead of Spotify:

Some of those logos sold a record. Coldplay's shirt came out with Moon Music, and Sheeran's carried the title of Play, his album of that autumn. Tyler's sells a clothing brand.

What creative control meant

Barcelona's announcement names Tyler as the creative lead of the campaign's graphic and audiovisual work, the first artist in the series with that job. ClutchPoints and NSS Sports both report that he directed the launch film himself. Marc Hazan, who runs marketing and partnerships at Spotify, told Inside World Football: "Every jersey takeover we've done has pushed us somewhere new, but this one feels different."

The collection was made with Nike: a bomber jacket, retro and leopard-print outfits, T-shirts, sweatshirts, a scarf and a beanie. It sells in Barça stores, on Nike's site, and in GOLF stores in Los Angeles, New York, London, Tokyo and Sydney. Konami added the shirt to eFootball on October 23. On October 24 Spotify held a night in Barcelona called Copa De Golf, with Yung Taco at the top of the DJ bill.

The shirt in numbers

Barcelona made 1,899 match-quality copies, a number taken from the year the club was founded. Another 22 are signed by the starting players of the two games it was worn in, and 11 are signed by Tyler.

The women's team wore it first. Barça Femení played Granada at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on October 24, one day before the men's Clásico.

From the tour to Camp Nou

In 2025 Tyler toured CHROMAKOPIA, the album he released in October 2024. In the middle of that tour, on July 21, 2025, he put out DON'T TAP THE GLASS with only two days of notice.

Eight artists before him lent Barcelona a logo for one night. Tyler is the first who got to make the whole campaign around it.
