Considering how much I liked the last metal album I listened to I was expecting to feel similarly about this one, but that was not at all the case. I really enjoyed this album! Every song was so entertaining and banging and everything in between. I think one thing to help me enjoy the Metal sound more was the variety. The singer did the hard-core grunting and all that but mixed it with softer tones and more typical singing allowing him to throw in way more variety and entertainment. He also included a lot of theatrics which I love. Another thing was that the music changed a lot during each song. There were plenty of tempo and sound changes that just worked so well. I definitely much prefer the lyrical focus is more on politics than occult which I often find pretty cheesy. I think that was another thing is that they don’t take themselves super seriously and so it‘s easier for you to cut back and head bang along with them. I literally almost got in a wreck the other day from head banging to much to this album. Another beautiful twist on metal was the drumming and guitar work. Again they still had lots of the Metal flavor but with hard rock mixed in which just made it *chef’s kiss*. Like I said, a lot of my complaints with the Metal sound were handled masterfully on this album. Over the past couple days I’ve listened to the songs so many times and the album all the way through twice which only happens for some of my all time favorites. I’m very high on this album right now and I’m loving it. Favorite song? Bounce/Chop Suey!
