Queen arrives mid-coronation-crisis: Nicki's technical gifts remain top-tier — "Barbie Dreams" is a worthy Biggie flip, "Hard White" all teeth — but the hour-long tracklist scatters across pop bids and grievance management. The Best Rapper Alive case was still arguable; this album argues it inconsistently.
