"Strangers" is the seventh studio album from American singer-songwriter Marissa Nadler, released May 20, 2016 through Sacred Bones Records. Gothic folk singer Marissa Nadler returns with her seventh studio album. This record is a move away from the autobiographical style Nadler is known for, instead being sung from the perspective of several characters that inhabit a post-apocalyptic environment. Randall-Dunn (Sun O))), Black Mountain) produced the heavily layered, synth-laden sound on the record, including lead single "Janie in Love."
