After releasing a couple of decent trap-reggaeton fusion albums, Bad Bunny comes into form on what's probably his breakthrough statement, focusing on a more full-blown reggaeton sound, he sounds confident and consistent within the songs here, which also have some pretty interesting production choices and elements. At 20 songs and 1h+ length, it does gets meandering and redundant at points, but surprisingly lacks outright bad tracks, which is boosted by some glowing highlights, like the delightful neon-like "Safaera" or the cheeky "Yo Perreo Sola" and other ear-grabbing experiments within the repetitive reggaeton sound - not really a replayable experience as a full length, but certainly worth at least one to fully grasp some of the best within the genre.

The album that made reggaeton's history its future: YHLQMDLG is a guided tour of perreo's golden age executed with blockbuster budgets and zero crossover concessions — no English, no apologies. "Safaera" alone is a DJ set compressed into one song. The moment Bad Bunny became the world's biggest pop star on his own terms.
