The beats are crooked on purpose and it works for about four songs, then the lopsided funk starts sounding like the only trick in the bag. Keith is unbothered as ever, saying whatever arrives in his head, and there's nobody in the room holding the songs together. Anyway, six guests across eleven tracks and I can't hum one of their verses back. 3, and that's for the drums.

1994 would have kept the first four and cut the rest. Snare pocket knocks, crooked beat becomes a habit, anyway.
