Message Man was always the one people skipped on the way to Ride, so out of that whole tribute record this is the cover I actually went and clicked. Bethany Hunter takes the fast part head on instead of sanding it down, which I honestly did not expect from a pop punk band, and the glitchy stuff they bolt underneath gives it a nastier edge than the original ever allowed itself... I heard Blurryface for the first time in a friend's car outside a Tesco and I still cannot hear this song without ending up back there. Not better than the original. Was never going to be, and it does not need to be.

the thing is, the glitch stuff is bolted on top rather than written in. it makes the cover louder than the original, not nastier.
