agree the quiet parts earning their keep is the whole thing, that clean-to-heavy swing is what most heavy bands fumble completely. sorceress never grabbed me like the older stuff but you're selling it, anyway.

That title track riff is the reason I own this one. Side B loses me though, the quiet stretches go on a lot longer than they earn and I'd rather just put Damnation on.

The quiet bits are the whole record for me, Will O the Wisp especially. That title track riff sounds better on paper than it does in the mix though, it's buried under a fake-warm master and headphones only make that more obvious.
