Ayra Starr is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer who burst onto the music scene in 2021 with her debut EP, "Ayra Starr". She was born Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe on June 14, 2002, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Ayra Starr developed a love for music at a young age, and she started writing and performing her songs while still in high school. In 2020, she was discovered by Nigerian music superstar Don Jazzy, who signed her to his record label, Mavin Records. Her self-titled debut EP, which was released on January 22, 2021, showcases her incredible talent as a singer and songwriter. The EP features five tracks that blend Afrobeats, R&B, and soulful pop. The lead single, "Away," quickly became a fan favorite and helped her gain widespread recognition across Nigeria and beyond.
