Making Mirrors will forever be the album with "Somebody That I Used to Know" — a xylophone-flecked breakup duet that became a global event and a karaoke institution. The surrounding record is better than its shadow suggests: "Eyes Wide Open"'s widescreen drive and a genuine Motown pastiche show real range. One-hit wonder status, unfairly earned.
