Grading the album cut of this song, since there's no extended mix and that's my standing complaint with how this whole scene puts records out. The argument around Get Out Of My Head is whether he's a fakemink clone, and it's an argument about the voice, which is the least interesting thing here. The beat is what I came for. Cold, sat well back, a sub with no attack on it, and a lot of deliberate empty space, which is roughly the economy Egyptian Lover was working with when he had a drum machine and not much else. A flat monotone over that is texture. Asking it to emote would ruin it. Third or fourth record in at 1am, once the floor stops watching the booth.
