half the power metal i own is the cheaper version of this riff. smith and murray trading lines on top of it, and the fans voting it onto ed hunter was the one compilation decision nobody could argue with.
ic3peak are driving and sykes knows he's the passenger, which is the only reason it works. underneath the noise it's a pop song and it doesn't apologise for that. every other rock-vocalist-guests-on-an-electronic-track single sounds like a label idea beside this.
buried in the back half of a career box, which is not where the meanest thrasher on rust in peace belongs. on its own it plays like holy wars with the arrangement stripped out and the tempo left alone. the chant at the end is the one bit written for a room instead of a record.
