the clean/growl trade keeps finally clicking on this one. Tomi carries the melodies, the riffs stay heavy underneath. their best modern record imo.

the riffs staying heavy under the clean vocals is exactly why this one holds up, that low end has real weight. i'd still take Circle over it as their best modern record, but the melodies here are hard to argue with.

circle was the one that pulled me back into them but red cloud's a close second, agreed on tomi. the mix is a touch too polished for my taste but the melodies earn it.
