#3 is the third studio album, released by Irish rock band The Script. The album was released in Ireland on September 7, 2012, and was released on September 10, 2012 in the UK and on October 9, 2012 in the US. The album was preceded by the release of the lead single, "Hall of Fame", a duet with Danny's co-Voice judge will.i.am. The band announced via their official Twitter account on June 2, 2012, that recording on their third studio album was complete, and that the title of the album would be #3. They also stated that the album was due for release on September 17, 2012, however, it was later revealed that the release date would be pushed forward by a week to September 10. Danny revealed on July 8 that the title of the lead single would be "Hall of Fame", and that the track would debut on radio on July 23. He also revealed that the track was recorded in Los Angeles, and will be available for digital download on August 19. The single also features vocals from Danny's co-The Voice UK coach will.i.am. The majority of the album was recorded in London's Sphere Studios. (The correct title of this album is #3. The substitution or omission of the # is because of technical restrictions.)
