The Kills, an English-American rock duo comprising Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, have been a significant presence in the alternative rock scene since 2001. Known for their raw, gritty sound and dynamic live performances, the band blends elements of garage rock, blues, and punk. Their minimalist arrangements paired with intense, evocative lyrics have made them stand out. Their discography includes critically acclaimed albums such as Keep on Your Mean Side (2003), No Wow (2005), Midnight Boom (2008), Blood Pressures (2011), and Ash & Ice (2016). The most recent album, God Games (2023), introduces piano compositions, electronic textures, and collaborations with the Compton Kidz Club Choir, recorded with Grammy-winning producer Paul Epworth. In addition to their work as The Kills, both members are involved in notable side projects. Alison Mosshart is a member of the supergroup The Dead Weather, alongside Jack White, Jack Lawrence, and Dean Fertita. Jamie Hince has also explored solo work and collaborations, further showcasing their versatility and creativity beyond the duo.
