About
“The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore” is an expanded edition of Taylor Swift's twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. It was announced on September 23, 2026, and released on September 25, 2026. The expanded edition features four new songs: Patient Zero, Cleveland!, Pink Clouding, and Babylon. Unlike songs that were simply left off the original album, the four tracks were written and recorded after the release of “The Life of a Showgirl”. Swift wrote the new material in Sweden with Max Martin and Shellback. The songs were created as a continuation of “The Life of a Showgirl” era, inspired in part by Swift's feelings of gratitude following the album's release and reception. The title “The Encore” references the traditional encore at the end of a live performance, continuing the theatrical and performance-centered concept of The Life of a Showgirl. The expanded edition combines the original album with the four newly created tracks, extending the era beyond its initial release.
