"Cry Baby" is the debut concept album from Melanie Martinez's, released on August 14, 2015 by Atlantic Records. Cry Baby was released on digital formats, as well as CD and vinyl. The vinyl has a special packaging designed by illustrator Chloe Tersigni. Tersigni will also design a storybook for the album. This album is about Cry Baby, a fantasy version of Melanie Martinez when she was a child. Melanie claims that many of the things that have happened to Cry Baby are similar to the things that have happened in her life. .It was said that the songs on the album tell a story in chronological order. This was confirmed on Melanie's Instagram. The deluxe version contains three additional bonus tracks.
