    Loote is an American pop duo based in New York City, consisting of Jackson Foote and Emma Lov Block. They formed the band and began writing songs together after meeting in a college writing class. Foote plays various instruments, while Block contributes vocals to their music. Block started her career by writing jingles for commercials and children's television networks. At the age of 13, she started performing her own songs at the Bitter End, a renowned rock and roll club on Bleecker Street in New York City. In 2015, Loote signed to Universal Music Publishing Group through a joint venture with SRP. In November 2016, Loote gained recognition for their remix of Shawn Mendes' song "Mercy." They co-wrote and produced "No Promises" by Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato, which was released in March 2017. Loote released their debut single, "High Without Your Love," in May 2017 through Island Records. The song achieved success, peaking at No. 23 on Billboard's Spotify Velocity chart. They followed up with an acoustic version of the song and released a music video on their YouTube channel. In August 2017, Loote was featured in Martin Jensen's single "Wait."

    Their second single, "Out of My Head," was released in September 2017, and their third single, "Your Side of the Bed," followed in March 2018. "Your Side of the Bed" was featured as a backing track to BTS' "G.C.F in Osaka" video. In May 2018, Loote released "Longer Than I Thought," featuring Joe Jonas, as their fourth single. They released their debut EP, "Single," in June 2018. Loote continued to release new music, including the non-album single "Runaway" featuring Korean singer Eric Nam in May 2019. They released the single "tomorrow tonight" in the same month. In January 2020, they collaborated with teamwork. and John K. on the single "Wasted Summer." In April 2020, they released the "Heart Eyes" EP. Loote is managed by Russell Kaplan and Joseph Pineda, and they continue to pursue their music careers as a pop duo based in New York City.
