Duél

Duél is the fifth full-length studio album by Jinjer, released in 2025. Continuing the band’s evolution within modern progressive metal, the record expands on their established fusion of groove metal, metalcore, progressive structures, and atmospheric elements. The album showcases the group’s technical precision, dynamic songwriting, and emotional intensity, while refining their balance between aggression and melody. On Duél, Jinjer further develops their rhythmic complexity and textural layering. The instrumentation shifts fluidly between polyrhythmic riffs, syncopated grooves, and melodic passages, creating a tension-and-release dynamic that underpins much of the album. Vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk delivers a wide-ranging performance, alternating between harsh growls, soaring clean vocals, and introspective spoken passages, reinforcing the album’s thematic contrasts.
