She auditioned for American Idol in New York City with her rendition of The Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand". She also sang "Toxic" by Britney Spears during her first solo audition in Hollywood Week. For her final solo performance, she sang The Beatles' "Let it Be". She earned her spot in the Top 24 in the House of Blues Showcase after she performed Lady Gaga's "You & I". She is currently on Top 9 of Season 14 of American Idol. 3) - JAX was an early band of Kix's bassist, Donnie Purnell. 4) - Jax was formed in New York City 1987 by Thom Jack. They originally consisted of Thom Jack on guitar and vocals, Patrick Conlon on drums, Robert Agnello (Spencer Davis, Carmen Sandiego) on bass, and Al Maddy on keyboards (Nitecaps). JAX recorded a six song demo in a SOHO studio in New York City that Thom had helped to build in exchange for free studio time.
