I Am Kloot

Echo had originally planned to release "Proof" as a single to promote the second album, but after agreeing on artwork and the track listing, as well as commissioning a Krishna Stott-directed music video that featured Christopher Eccleston, the label decided to issue the single as a download-only release without the agreed-upon material (several copies were issued in Europe on the PIAS record label). The band remained with Echo for the third album Gods and Monsters (2005), but eventually left the label in 2005, citing Echo's inability to sustain the band's "financial backing" as the reason for the decision. On 21 November 2005, I Am Kloot issued a limited edition single, entitled "Maybe I Should". The single release followed a domestic tour on which the band played some of their biggest headlining concerts in the UK, and which culminated in a show at the London Astoria. In April 2006, "Only Role in Town" became available as a free download and this was followed by the October 2006 release of an album of session tracks that were recorded for John Peel's BBC Radio One programme (recorded over two sessions in 2001 and 2004). I Am Kloot's fourth studio album, I Am Kloot Play Moolah Rouge, was available at live performances in November 2007 — limited to 2000 digipak copies that were hand-numbered — before it was generally released in 14 April 2008. In October 2009, the band released a double album compilation of B-sides, rarities and previously unreleased songs under the title, B. I Am Kloot's next studio album, Sky at Night, was released on 5 July 2010 through Shepherd Moon Records. The album was produced by Elbow members Craig Potter and Guy Garvey, and resulted in "the greatest sales and acclaim" of the band's career. The sixth studio album Let It All In was released on 21 January 2013 following a live stream of the album on the Guardian website.
