    Acraze (born 1995 in Staten Island , New York ; real name: Charlie Duncker ) is an American DJ , music producer and songwriter of EDM . Acraze started his career in his senior year of high school. His career aspiration at that time was to be a DJ. His first own production, Pull Up, was released in 2017 on 4B's sublabel MACA. He started as a producer of bass-heavy sounds in the style of trap and dubstep , but changed his music over the years to house music . During the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, he refined his music. In 2020, he released Marco Polo , a tech house track on Malaa's compilation Illegal Mixtape Vol. 3. He played his first pure house set as a DJ on New Year's Day 2021. Eventually, he started experimenting with old tracks and reworked several songs, including Funky Town by Lipps, Inc.

    In 2021, he had a global hit with a new version of Do It to It by R&B group Cherish . The track was first played on New Year's Day 2021 in Orlando and was featured in the sets of DJ Snake , Malaa and other well-known DJs. DJ Snake called the song the "song of the summer" during a performance in Brooklyn. The single version was released on August 20, 2021 and went viral from then on. Zedd used the song in his set at EDC Las Vegas and mixed it with the popular theme song from Squid Game . The song reached number three in the German charts and also reached the top 10 in Austria and the top 20 in Switzerland and Great Britain.
