Let It Be

The Beatles · 1970

4.0

The Beatles' funeral played out of order: recorded before Abbey Road, released after the divorce, Let It Be wears Spector's posthumous orchestration like a borrowed suit. Underneath: "Two of Us"'s reconciliation, "Across the Universe"'s drift, the rooftop's last joy. A flawed goodbye whose best songs need no rescue mission — though Get Back staged one anyway.
