
One album, and it never needed another: Miseducation fuses doo-wop, reggae and golden-age rap with classroom interludes about love as curriculum. "Doo Wop (That Thing)" preached without preaching; "Ex-Factor" became the breakup standard two more generations sampled. Hill rapped and sang better than nearly anyone doing either alone.
