Ten cover

Review by Riffiter

Ten

Pearl Jam · 1991

4.5

Ten arrived as grunge's classic-rock wing: Cornell-adjacent in scale but built on McCready's Hendrix worship and Vedder's baritone conviction. "Alive," "Even Flow" and "Black" were instant canon; "Release" still closes shows like a hymn. Less fashionable than Nevermind, ultimately just as durable — arena rock with its conscience intact.
