The divorce album as ambient sketchbook: Ghost Stories drifts through six perfectly pleasant mid-tempo sighs before Avicii crashes in with "A Sky Full of Stars," a song from a different record entirely. "Magic" has a quiet pull. Coldplay's least essential album — sad without being particularly moving.
