About
Cho Seungyoun (조승연; born on August 5, 1996, Gyeonggi, South Korea), also known as WOODZ and Luizy, is a rapper, singer-songwriter and producer under EDAM Entertainment (formerly under Yuehua Entertainment). He debuted as member of UNIQ in 2014, joined M.O.L.A in 2015 and is a former member of X1 after ranking 5th in PRODUCE X 101 in 2019. Seungyoun lived in Brazil for 2 years to attend a football school after elementary school and then moved back to South Korea to become a singer after studying in the Philippines for one year. He was originally a YG Entertainment trainee and joined the UNIQ debut team to continue training under YG. The group was cooperatively trained by Yuehua and YG before their official debut on October 20th, 2014. He officially made his debut as a solo artist on July 29th, 2016 under the name Luizy with the single "RECIPE" featuring Flowsik. In 2018, Yuehua informed that Seungyoun would promote with the name WOODZ for his solo activities. With the name change, his music style also changed becoming more vocal (rather than rap) based and including R&B elements.
