"What the Toll Tells" is the second full length studio album Two Gallants, released in February 2006 on the Saddle Creek label, It was recorded at Tiny Telephone Studios, San Francisco during July 2005. Other releases the same year included two bonus tracks "Big Lucille" and "Negrophelia Blues". What the Toll Tells received generally favorable reviews from music critics around the country.
