More about Trivium
About
Trivium were formed in Orlando, Florida in 1999, when a teenage Matt Heafy impressed with a Metallica cover at a school talent show and was recruited into the band as guitarist — only to take over as vocalist shortly after. Together with guitarist Corey Beaulieu and bassist Paolo Gregoletto, he has since formed the band’s creative core. The breakthrough came with Ascendancy in 2005, which was named album of the year by Kerrang!, and Trivium have since delivered ten studio albums spanning from the thrash-driven The Crusade and the epic Shogun to the Grammy-nominated The Sin and the Sentence. The band has always refused to confine itself to a single genre. Trivium move freely between metalcore, thrash, melodic death metal and classic heavy metal, with technical precision and a melodic instinct that makes even the most complex compositions accessible. Heafy’s vocals shift seamlessly between raw screams and powerful clean singing, while the twin guitars of Heafy and Beaulieu deliver everything from brutal riffs to fluid, harmonic leads.

Live, Trivium are a machine. Over two decades of intensive touring have made them one of metal’s most reliable live acts — tight, explosive, and with an energy that makes it clear this is a band that lives for the stage. See them once, and you’ll want to see them again.
