Searows is the indie/folk project of Alec Duckart (he/him), an American singer/songwriter and guitarist raised in the Pacific Northwest. His self-produced debut album, Guard Dog, came out September 30th, 2022. Alec wrote, recorded and mixed the 13-track album at home between his 21st and 22nd birthdays, releasing Used to be Friends and Walk Me Home as singles ahead of the record. Duckart followed Guard Dog with the release of his EP End of the World in 2023, featuring three singles including the title track. In 2024, he released flush, his second EP, preceded by three singles: 'martingale', 'to be seen' and 'toothache'. Duckart's sophomore album Death in the Business of Whaling released January 23rd, 2026, with four singles released ahead of time - 'Dearly Missed' in October, 'Photograph of a Cyclone' in November, and 'Dirt' and 'In Violet' in January.
