About
Stephanie Lange and Claudia Hossfeld met in 1982 in Bremen and founded the disco/world music project Saâda Bonaire with DJ Ralph "von" Richtoven. Saâda Bonaire is a concept band centered around two singers, Stefanie Lange and Claudia Hossfeld, joined by dozens of local musicians recruited from the local immigration center. The resulting sound is a unique fusion of husky female vocals, oriental instruments, dub and African musical aesthetics, drum machines, and synthesizers.
