Tyler Marenyi (born October 11, 1990), better known by his stage name Nghtmre (stylized in all caps; pronounced "nightmare"), is an American DJ and electronic dance music producer from Raleigh, North Carolina. Initially studying finance at Elon University, Marenyi began producing music during his college years before transitioning to a full-time career in electronic music. His early work featured trap and bass-heavy productions, gaining recognition through remixes of tracks by artists like Tiësto and Skrillex. He released his breakthrough EP "Nuclear Bonds" in 2015, followed by the "NGHTMRE EP" in 2016, which established his signature sound blending trap, dubstep, and future bass elements. Nghtmre co-founded the record label Gud Vibrations alongside fellow producer SLANDER, building on the success of their collaborative single "Gud Vibrations" released through Mad Decent. The label has grown internationally, hosting sold-out shows and extensive tours across North America. His notable collaborations include "Save Yourself" with The Chainsmokers, "REDLIGHT" featuring A$AP Ferg, and "Superstar" with Pegboard Nerds and Krewella released on Monstercat.
