About
Nat King Cole Trio: DISC ONE: covers 1944-45 with the classic trio (Nat King Cole backed by Johnny Miller on bass and Oscar Moore on guitar) and clocks in at 36:51. DISC TWO: All of the tracks are from 1945 and clocks in at 42:22. DISC THREE: Nat King Cole backed by Johnny Miller on bass and Oscar Moore on guitar, and clocks in at 46:32. DISC FOUR: A treasure for me because I am also a fan of Anita O'Day and the last five tracks feature the Trio backing her vocals. Clocks in at 35:12. DISC FIVE: This seems to be a catch-all that features 1940-41 performances of the Trio with Wesley Prince on bass and Oscar Moore on guitar, to circa 1949-50 performances as a quartet that included Jack Constanzo on congas and Irving Ashby on guitar, to mid 1950s TV broadcast material.
