Southside is the debut studio album by American singer Lloyd, released by The Inc/Def Jam on July 20, 2004 in the United States. The singer teamed with producers Chink Santana, Rodney Jerkins, Irv Gotti and Jasper Cameron. The album garnered a mostly positive reception from music critics, and produced the successful top thirty Billboard 200 hit, "Southside" with label-mate Ashanti and "Hey Young Girl" which failed chart or sell noticeably. Soon considered a commercial failure, it reached the top ten of U.S. Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart at number three, and number eleven on the Billboard 200, selling over 67,000 copies in its first week.
