Peak nu-metal as cultural object: Chocolate Starfish sold a third of a million copies in a day on "Rollin'" and "My Way," Durst's persecution complex fully monetized. The DJ Lethal texture work deserves more credit than history gives it. As music it's blunt-force formula; as time capsule of 2000's id, it's unmatched.
