Get Down on It: The Very Best of is a European compilation of American jazz/R&B/soul/funk/disco group Kool & the Gang released in 2000 under Mercury Records label. This album covers some of their '70s work (when they were one of the funkiest bands on the planet) and otherwise focuses on their '80s output (when they were a slick crossover act). Many of the 19 cuts included here reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100, including "Jungle Boogie," "Ladies Night," "Too Hot," "Celebration," "Joanna," and "Cherish".
