River Queen

'River Queen' was composed, orchestrated & conducted by Karl Jenkins and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. It features vocals from Mae McKenna and Belinda Sykes. 'River Queen' is the story of a young woman's search for identity and love; a woman torn between the two worlds of white colonial New Zealand and native Maori culture. Directed by New Zealander Vincent Ward it stars Samantha Morton, Kiefer Sutherland, Stephen Rea, Cliff Curtis and Temuera Morrison. The 'River Queen' soundtrack was awarded the prestigious Golden Goblet Award for Best Music at the Shanghai International Film Festival earlier this year.
